Main Project Objectives

Construction of watertight in order to elevate the water level and increasing the reserved water quantity for continuous gravity irrigation of agricultural lands during summertime, controlling the river flow regime and associated floods in order to protect the agricultural lands, construction of canal and correcting cross sections and width of canals derived from Shahrchay river, development of gravity irrigation system and controlling water using floodgates, and development of a modern irrigation grid to prevents waste of water and regular water management were the most important objectives of this project.
