Main Project Objectives
- Regulating the 273 million m3 water flow of Nazlu River to irrigate 431000 hectares of agricultural lands in Nazlu, Rodha, Kohriz, and Ghushchi Planes
- Controlling river floods to prevent damages
- Supply of industrial and drinking water needs of northern townships of Lake Urmia (38-million m3)
- Responding to the environmental needs of Nazlu River in Urmia
- Improving the socioeconomic conditions in the northern parts of the plane
